Patient/Client Transportation Program Information

When are the Services Available?

The transportation program is available Monday – Thursday for appointments that start at 8 am and end by 6:00 pm.  The program is not available when we are closed for holidays/closures.
Services may be delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather.

Who Can Use the Service?

All GPW Health Center patients who live within Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park within 15 miles from appointment facility qualify at no cost.

Patient transportation must be to the Center facility where the appointment is scheduled.

Patients must be physically fit enough to board and exit the van without help from GPW Health Center staff.

Each patient can have up to one guest travel with them; the patient must inform the program prior to pick-up of any additional guest(s) requests.

Minors (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older). Patients are required to follow Center guidelines and wear a mask while using transportation.

Where Does the Van Take Me?

The transportation program is designated to only pick-up/drop-off patients to our facilities from the patient’s address on file or designated shelter.

The program does not: shuttle patients between Center facilities, take patients to hospitals, other health facilities or stop to pick up medications.

When do I Need to Call to Coordinate Transportation?

Patients need to call and schedule transportation four days (or more) before their appointment.

Patients can also request a ride at the time they schedule their appointment.

If you need same-day services, it will be scheduled as availability allows.

We cannot guarantee a ride if you call the same day.

Is the Van Handicap Accessible?

GPW Health Center transportation is provided for patients with transportation difficulties. None of our vans are handicap accessible.
