GPW Dental Home is a team-based coordinated dental care approached by a licensed Dentist and Dental Hygienist. As an essential part of Medical care our Dentists and dental Hygienists will take care of your oral health to treat and prevent any dental problems. Our dental professionals provide a full range of comprehensive dental care for children and adults; emergency treatment for pain, swelling and broken teeth and prenatal dental care. We provide continuity of care for your family’s dentistry and dental hygiene needs, from young children to seniors. It starts at one year of age, to establish a healthy oral health foundation, and its adjusted over time as your needs and your children’s needs change.

Meet Our Providers
Dr. James Houseworth
Dr. James Houseworth completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at Austin Peay University. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Tennessee Dental School. Dr. Houseworth also served in the army as a helicopter pilot while he was in dental school. Dr. Houseworth then relocated to Southern Illinois where he has worked as a General Dentist and Dental Director. He has provided dental services in Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Ecuador. He enjoys the patient interactions and being able to provide the best dental care to his patients.
Dr. Houseworth also has a master’s in strategic studies. He is a history enthusiast and enjoys flying airplanes, as well as traveling.
Amparo Pinzon, DDS
Dr. Pinzon completed her Dental Degree at EL Bosque University in Bogota, Colombia in 1995 and earned a Public Health Master's degree at El Rosario University in Bogota, Colombia in 2001. In 2008, she moved to the United States to pursue her training in a General Practice Residency at Meharry Dental School in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Virginia Dental Association (VDA), and Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS). She has worked as both, a General Dentist and Director of private practices. She has also worked as a Public Health Planner developing dental programs for undeserved communities. Her experiences as both a Private Practitioner and Public Health professional, have enabled her to take a holistic view of the dental profession and to develop a deeper sensitivity for the needs of others. Her ability to empathize with patients has allowed her to treat them based on their own psychological, social and cultural needs. Dr. Pinzon, strongly believes that preventive care and education are the keys to optimal dental health, and she spends time with her patients to help them understand how they can improve their oral health.
Dr. Pinzon enjoys volunteering for Non-profit Health Organizations and her greatest satisfaction is the knowledge that she has helped someone else by providing quality and individualized service.
Sneha Patel, DDS
Dr. Sneha Patel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Baylor University in 2012. She attended Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2016. After working a year in Texas, she moved to Virginia and joined GPW Health Center.
In her spare time, she loves to travel to new places and play board games.
Ian Lam, DDS
Dr. Ian Lam holds his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from George Mason University, where he graduated cum laude in 2014. He then continued his education at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2018. He has participated in outreach programs that provided free dental care to various populations, such as an international dental trip to Managua, Nicaragua where he provided dental exams, education, and fluoride varnish.
Dr. Lam has also shown a spirit of volunteerism and commitment to the community by participating as a volunteer in Northern Virginia Dental Clinic, Inova Fairfax Hospital, and Iowa City Free Dental Clinic. He has also rendered translation service for Vietnamese patients at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics.
Miriam Lipscomb, RDH
Miriam Lipscomb, RDH graduated from Northern Virginia Community College Dental Hygiene Program in 2001. She’s a member of the America Dental Hygiene Association. She has received advanced training and certification to administer local anesthetics, Nitrous Oxide sedation and chemotherapeutic agent. She recently joined Greater Prince William Health Center and brought 16 years of experience along with her. Miriam is fluent in Spanish and English. She believes her professional calling is to serve her community as well as her home town of León Nicaragua. She’s been in collaboration with Old Dominion University and (UNAN - Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua) to develop de first Dental Hygiene Program in the country.
She is happily married has a daughter and son and 3 granddaughters. She enjoys traveling the world, golf, working out and been part of her local church choir.
Ms. Barton received her certification from Northern Virginia Community College in 2017. She is committed to providing the best patient care through communication and high-quality service.
Ms. Barton is also a skilled team player who understands the importance of collaborative care for the best treatment outcomes for patients.
