Our highly trained women’s health professionals include Board Certified OB/GYN physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners in addition to certified Medical Assistants. We provide care for women throughout all stages of life, from adolescence through menopause.
Our GYN Services are comprehensive and include preventive care, reproductive counseling and management. We also offer diagnostic services such as colposcopy, pelvic ultrasound, SIS (saline infusion sonohysterography), LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure) and endometrial biopsy.
Our Obstetrical Services are similarly comprehensive and cover all aspects of pregnancy from conception and prenatal care to coordination of delivery and post-natal care. We coordinate our patients’ deliveries with hospitalists from local, well-regarded hospitals. Our team also collaborates with specialists to enhance care for our higher risk pregnancies. We also offer a unique and popular program known as CenteringPregnancy™ which has been proven to improve birth outcomes through its supportive group environment.
Meet our Providers
Rachel Jansen, DO, MPH, FACOG, Physician
Dr. Rachel Jansen is a Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees with Honors from the University of Florida. She then attended Des Moines University in Iowa where she earned both her medical degree and Master of Public Health degree with Distinction. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at MetroHealth Medical Center and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where she worked as Chief Resident.
Rebecca Stone, WNP
Rebecca Stone, NP has been a nurse practitioner for 30 years in women’s health caring for women age 12 – 100. She provides care for both pregnant and non-pregnant women in the Dumfries and Woodbridge locations of the Center. Rebecca received her BSN from George Mason University, and her MS-NP from Virginia Commonwealth University.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her two children and large extended family.
Cynthia Lopez, MSN, RN,
Family Nurse Practitioner
Cynthia Lopez is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in our OB-GYN department. She obtained her Associates in Nursing in Fayetteville, NC, she then moved to Virginia with her husband. She furthered her education at Old Dominion University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. As a nurse, she worked in various outpatient specialties such as GYN, allergy and asthma, urgent care, and orthopedics. It was working as a nurse in a GYN office, where she decided to further her education and become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She felt that she could make an impact in people's lives, especially in a culturally diverse community. She obtained her Master's in Nursing at George Mason University and fell in love with Women's health. Since graduation in 2015, Cynthia has been working in Women's health. She enjoys connecting with patients on a personal level and learning about their lives, while providing exceptional care in prenatal and GYN.
In her free time, Cynthia likes to travel with her husband to experience different cultures and languages. Activities that she enjoys are snowboarding, lounging the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
Jennifer Folks, MS, RN, WHNP-BC
Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer Folks, WHNP she has been providing care in women’s health for over 14 years. Jennifer received her BSN from University of Virginia and her Maters of Science, Nursing, Women’s Health from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Her special interest are in adolescent gynecology, menstrual disorders affected by the endocrine system and antepartum/postpartum mood disorders.
Dr. Prathima Setty
Dr. Prathima Setty is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Science degree at Stanford University and her Medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After finishing an internship in Internal Medicine at Rush-Presbyterian in Chicago, she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center.
She was chosen to be the Women's Health Scholar at Columbia's Center for Menopause, Hormonal Disorders, and Women's Health in New York City. During her fellowship, she was awarded the Teva Fellows award.
