Community Health Centers are local, non-profit, community-owned health care centers found across the nation. For nearly 40 years, the national network of health centers has provided high quality affordable primary care. They are located in areas where care is needed but scarce.

How do I know if I my income qualifies me to be a patient at the Health Center?
There are no income restrictions to receiving care at Greater Prince William. Depending on your family income and family size, you may qualify for discounts on our sliding fee scale. Our minimum office co-pay is $45 and lab requests are approximately $25.

Developing a relationship with my doctor is important to me, can I choose which health care provider I see?
Yes! We encourage you to be a full participant in your own health care. We have two physicians, four nurse practitioners, and six physician's assistant on staff for you to choose from.

What if I am late for my appointment?
If a patient arrives 15 minutes after their scheduled appointment, the patient will not be seen. Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes will be charged $10.
My spouse has a chronic medical condition that requires monitoring by a physician, is this beyond the scope of care provided at Greater Prince William?
No. At Greater Prince William, we provide care to many patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses. Our partnerships with other organizations assist our practitioners with the best and latest information in diabetes management, and have strengthened our Center's ability to provide chronic disease management for a wide array of illnesses.

What is the Health Center’s cancellation policy?
All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Patients that cancel without notice twice will be unable to schedule an appointment and may only be seen as a walk-in patient.
How long does it take to get an appointment with a doctor?
We can often provide next day appointments to our new and returning patients. If you call around 8:30 am, there is a good chance we can see you the same day. When someone is sick, we work hard to see them as soon as possible.

My family's medications are expensive. Can Greater Prince William’s pharmacy provide any savings?
As our patient, you can qualify for certain prescriptions at significantly reduced rates. Many patients obtain a 90-day supply for $5. During your next visit, ask for information on this program’s enrollment process.

The Health Center is located mid-County, just off the Prince William Parkway near the intersection with Old Bridge Road. Our address is 4379 Ridgewood Center Drive, Suite 102, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192. You can also contact us for an updated Mobile Clinic schedule. It is likely traveling to a school, senior center, or health fair near you.

The Health Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

How do I make an appointment?
Patients needing to make an appointment to see one of our Board Certified Medical Doctors, Nurse Practioners, Certified Nurse Midwife, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Dentists, or Registered Nurses should call our Appointment Line at 703.680.7950, Option #2. One of our Patient Advocates will gladly schedule you for a same day, next day, or next week appointment

How do patients pay for services at the Center?
The Center accepts all forms of insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. Uninsured patients may request our Sliding Scale discount program. To take advantage of discounted services, patients are required to bring proof of income and number of dependents with them to the first appointment and annually thereafter. Our Front Desk accepts Visa and MasterCard for services. We do not accept checks.

Does the Center provide primary medical care?
Yes, the Center provides a wide range of primary medical care for the whole family, including well visits, sick visits, physicals, men and women's health procedures, labs, and EKGs.

Does the Center provide dental care?
Yes, the Center provides a wide range of emergency, preventive, and restorative services, including teeth cleaning, extractions, and filings. Initial appointments typically include an assessment, x-rays, and the development of treatment plans. Same day and next day appointments are always available.

Does the Center provide prenatal care?
Yes, the Center provides prenatal care to expectant Mothers from pregnancy confirmation testing to post-partum visits. Uninsured patients are requested to sign a Patient Agreement describing the services, timetable, and pricing for services. Our services include all necessary labs, an ultrasound test, and patient education. We facilitate your labor and delivery needs with our local area hospitals.

Does the Center provide Behavioral Health care services?
Yes, the Center provides a wide-range of behavioral health care for all of our patients (children and adults), including one-on-one, husband-wife, family, and small group therapy. Our services focus on assisting patients with changes (stop, start, maintenance of) to behaviors that improve their quality of life. We provide treatment for substance abuse, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other behavioral conditions.
